New Blog Smell

Well now, it's been many a year since I had a blog, that last of which has long since disappeared without any backups to even reminisce. I'm not much of a writer, but I've been building out my homelab / personal production environment over the past 8 months, and I have thoughts and experiences to share, so it seemed high time to consider setting up a self hosted blog!

As for how to host it, you may be able to tell I've gone with Ghost. In the past I've generally stuck with the old faithful WordPress, but given recent world events, and not only, it was probably worth looking elsewhere. As an aspiring software developer I would like to have tried my hand at creating one from scratch, but the time it would take me to deliver something I was happy with, years may pass. I've decided to go with Ghost, as an option that first peaked my interest some years ago when I started reading Troy Hunt's blog.

Anyway, I'll keep this one will be short and sweet, more or less so I have something up instead of just the default coming soon post. When I'm ready, I'll post a better introduction, with a bit about me, my experience and why you might like to sign up for my content.
